September 4, 1959 — May 12, 2026

Columbia

Acie Scott, Jr. 66, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Born in Winnsboro, SC, he was the son of Judy Scott and the late Acie Scott, Sr. He attended Irmo High School, graduating in the class of 1977. Following high school, he attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. Acie was a videographer and worked for Wach Fox 57 and SCETV. He was a very talented individual. He was a musician, a wonderful artist, had the unique ability to ride a unicycle, and was very creative in the work he produced. He had a dry wit about himself. Many would think he should have been a comedian with his sense of humor. He was also an avid Gamecock fan, but most importantly in life, he was a loving father, son and brother. His love and heroism even graced multiple individuals with his gift of life, donating his organs to save others lives.

Acie is survived by his mother, Judy Scott; daughter, Ellory Scott; sisters, Robin Mincey (John Montjoy) and Cathy Watson (Lee); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Acie Scott, Sr. and a nephew.
