Alice Sartain Gorman

September 14, 2022. Alice was born on April 10, 1941, in Royston, GA. She attended Royston GA public schools and went on to business school in Atlanta, GA where she met the love of her life, Paul Gorman. They were married for 60 years. After moving to Columbia, SC in 1974 Alice worked in the public school system until she retired. She was faithfully involved with her church and neighborhood. She loved Jesus, her family, her puppies, and Gamecock football. Alice is survived by her husband, Paul Gorman, of Columbia, SC, three children, David (Becky) Gorman of Chapin, SC, Lisa (Jim) Cain of Chapin, SC, Mike (Melanie) Gorman of Purcellville, VA, her brother Sonny, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Myrtis Sartain, and her grandson, Justin Alan Gorman. Visitation will be held at Temples Halloran Funeral Home on September 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m – 12 p.m. Following visitation, a celebration of life service will be held at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at noon. Burial will be followed immediately afterward outside in Bush River Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, 1811 Dutch Fork Road, Irmo, SC 29063.
