Barbara Carter Almond

COLUMBIA—Barbara Jeanette Carter Almond, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014.Born in Appomattox, VA, she was a daughter of Charles Edward Carter and Ethel Viola Guill.She was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church and loved bowling.She retired after 12 years of service from PMSC.Barbara was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are her daughter, Stephanie C. Almond (boyfriend, Trey Holley) of Lugoff; son, Daryl W. Almond of Little Mountain; sisters, Pamela Carter, Brenda Carter McConville andPhyllis Burkey all of Virginia; brothers, Fredrick Carter and Karl E. Carter all of Virginia; grandson, Christopher Michael Almond (Melissa R.) of Irmo and two great-grandchildren, Connor Hudson Almond and Owen Lucas Almond. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Service will be at a later date.
