Barry L. Dorman

Barry L. Dorman, 58, of Columbia, died Sunday, September 13, 2015.Born in Spartanburg, SC he is the son of Jean Blackwell Dorman and the late Desmond Dayton Dorman. Barry was a Christian and a member of the New Life Baptist Church; he was loved by all who knew him.He was employed at Lexington Medical Center where he retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Kathi Dorman of the home; mother, Mrs. Jean Blackwell Dorman of Columbia; brothers, Carl G. Dorman and wife, Carol of Chapin and Durham “Buddy” D. Dorman and wife, Judy of Pelion; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Those who have preceded him include his father as well as a brother, Raymond B. Dorman. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Pastor John Hamilton will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-12 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.
