Betty Ruth Price Youngblood

Betty Ruth Price Youngblood, 83, of Chapin, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 14, 2023, at Bush River Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Blair M. Smith will officiate. Betty was born in Greenwood, SC, on January 10, 1940, to Robert L. Price and Beatrice Warren Price. She was a graduate of Ninety-Six High School. She was a member of Irmo First Baptist Church. She previously taught Sunday School at South Main Baptist Church in Greenwood and Dutch Fork Baptist Church in Ballentine. She loved to cook and garden and spend time with her grandchildren. She traveled all over the country to watch the Gamecocks play football. Betty is predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Walter Ronnie Youngblood, and her son-in-law, Ed Talley. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Talley and Linda Burton (Randy); and her son, Michael Ronnie Youngblood (Heather). Betty is also survived by her brother, James Lee Price; her grandchildren, Allison Inge (PJ), Abbie Hill (Nick), Michael Ronnie Youngblood, Jr., Kaitlin Hamilton (Bryce), Chandler French, Kendall French (fiancé, Payton Pearson), and her great-grandchildren, Sam Inge, Hannah Chau, Rhett Inge, and Olivia Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be given in Betty’s memory to Irmo First Baptist Church, 7068 Nursery Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
