Beverly Vaughn

Beverly Parker Vaughn, 92, entered into the presence of our Lord on June 19, 2026. Born in Evansville, Indiana, she was the tenth and youngest child of Bert Edward and Betty Koehl Parker.

She graduated from Bosse High School and attended Indiana University majoring in accounting. In August 1954, she married the love of her life, Don. They lived throughout the Northeast before settling in South Carolina in the mid-1970s.

Bev considered South Carolina home and was an avid Gamecock fan. When her youngest grandson attended Clemson University, she cheered for the Tigers too!

After retiring from AT&T, she and Don enjoyed traveling the world. She also loved playing bridge, attending sporting events and playing board games with her family.

From very humble beginnings, Bev built a life through perseverance and hard work. She instilled that same drive and work ethic in her daughter and grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her only child, Ginger (Doug) and her two beloved grandchildren Brice (Mary Cate) and Reed (Karsen Odle). She will miss the arrival of her great grandson, Theodore, but we know she will be rejoicing in heaven over this bundle of joy!

Private burial services will be conducted by Rev. Bob Bryant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6952 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
