Bobby W. Humphries

COLUMBIA—A memorial service for Bobby W. Humphries, 83, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Dr. Ed Carney will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Humphries, beloved husband of Jane Brakefield Humphries, died August 13, 2015.Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Ivey Winfred Humphries and Emma Williams Humphries.He was a graduate of University High School and a Seventh Day Adventist.He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. Bobby worked for WIS-TV for 19 years as a film editor. He also worked for Newman Saylor and Gregory Advertising Agency. He was the producer of Six Gun Heroes for ETV and an avid cowboy film collector. Bobby was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Jane Humphries, of 63 years; daughter, Debbie Adams (Patrick) of Central, IN; sons, Chris Humphries (Bonnie) of Lexington and Jeff Humphries (Tricia) of Lake Wylie; grandchildren, Aimee, Stephanie, Lauren, Matthew and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Greta, Harper and Lincoln; brother, Aaron Humphries of West Columbia; sister, Margie Lewis (Francis) of Winnsboro.
