Daniel Jace Gilbert

Daniel Jace Gilbert, 61, of Lexington, SC, passed away at Lexington Medical Center on October 18, 2017.Dan is survived by his daughter, Jessica Gilbert;son, Jace Gilbert;sister, Deborah Long, brother Andy Gilbert, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. Dan was a jack of all trades, including construction, sales, retail management, and teaching computer science at Beta Tech Community College until 2011, when back problems and an operation forced him to stay home.Dan loved playing music, collecting musical instruments, and working on automobiles. A short service will be held outside at St. Michael and All Angels' Episcopal Church, 648 Bridgewood Road, Columbia, SC 29206,Tuesday, October 24 at noon. A lunch reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Michael and All Angels' Episcopal Church, 648 Bridgewood Road, Columbia, SC 29206.
