Doris "Winnie" Winnifred Jacobs

Okatie—Doris Winnifred Jacobs, 49, of Okatie passed in her sleep of heart failure on March 28, 2017. Winnie was a 1986 graduate of Irmo High School and obtained a B.S. in Psychology from the University of SC.She was working for Main Street Medical in Hilton Head, SC. Winnie was an avid boater, who loved boating with her friends and family on Lake Murray in “Chapin” as well as learning to navigate on the Chechesse River in Okatie. She is survived by her loving fiancé, Bud Brown of Okatie; her children, Jessica, Justin and Grant Jacobs; she is also survived by her mother and step-father, William and Patricia Norris of Columbia and her father, Donald Munsch of Bell, Florida. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate.The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
