Dorothy Pylo Fox, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on Thursday, February 4, 1937, in Staten Island, New York, Dorothy lived a full and vibrant life, most recently as a resident of Lexington, South Carolina.

A paralegal by profession, Dorothy was revered not only for her professional contributions but also for her unwavering dedication to her family and community. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Michael Pylo and Sara Leona Pylo, and her brother, Michael J. Pylo. Her memory lives on through her devoted husband of 71 years, Ronald James Fox; her cherished daughter, Cheryl Hughes, and son-in-law, Wayne; her beloved grandchild, Kimberly Kennamer, and husband, Lee; and her three great-grandchildren, Sara Morgan Rushton, Jackson Kennamer, and Nate Kennamer.

Dorothy and Ron spent their golden years exploring the United States together in their motor home, creating countless memories and lifelong friendships along the way. Deeply committed to her faith, Dorothy was actively involved in Swansea First Baptist Church, where her warmth and humor brought joy to everyone she encountered.

Dorothy's love for life was evident in her many hobbies. She took great pleasure in cooking and knitting, often crafting heartfelt gifts for family and friends. Her daughter, Cheryl, was affectionately referred to as "my girl," highlighting the special bond they shared. One of Dorothy's proudest joys was her great-grandchild, Sara Morgan Rushton, " she was the apple of her eye " whose upcoming graduation from the University of South Carolina filled Dorothy with immense pride.

In the hearts of all who knew her, Dorothy's legacy will endure—a testament to a life filled with love, compassion, and enduring happiness. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives were touched by her kindness and spirit.
