Dorothy Spivey Miller

Hilton Head—Dorothy S. Miller, 81, of Hilton Head formerly of Irmo,beloved wife of Leroy Eugene Miller, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017.She was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Harold Franklin Spivey and Evelyn Virginia Helms Spivey. She work for the Criminal Justice Academy for more then 30 years.Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society and the “former” Dutch Fork Christian Church. Surviving in addition to her husband of 63 years, Leroy E. Miller of Hilton Head; twin daughter’s, Lisa K. Yekel (Steve) of Rincon, GA and Tina M. Demery (Tim) of Tybee Island, GA; son, Jeff G. Miller of Rincon, GA; sister, Linda S. Owens of Summerville, SC; brother, Harold F. Spivey of Irmo, SC; seven grandchildren, Heather Capallo (Dave), Carli Garman (Ben); Jennifer Miller, Ashleigh, Sean, Blake and Brett Yekel; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Dorothy S. Miller will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.Officiating will be The Reverend Robert Spivey.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. prior to the service in the Mausoleum Chapel.
