Elizabeth Ann Hunt

Elizabeth “Ann” Hunt passed away on December 31, 2025, after an aggressive battle with cancer. 

Ann was born on June 25, 1955, at Shaw Air Force Base to Elizabeth Brown and was raised by her grandparents, Oliver Lovelace and Cora Lovelace.

She always had a passion for the justice system and law enforcement. Having earned a degree in Criminal Justice, she made a lifelong career of service as part of the law enforcement and security personnel at the Savannah River Site in Aiken before retiring to be a professional “Gigi.”

A true Southern gem, Ann loved her Gamecocks, horses, NASCAR, and enjoying the Carolina coast.

 Ann was devoted to her family and is survived by her granddaughter, Hunter Posey; grandson, Evan Posey; and her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marissa Posey.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, located at 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in hopes that one day other families can be spared this heartbreak.
