Elizabeth JoAnn Stough, 92, of Summit Hills, Spartanburg, SC and formerly of Columbia, SC passed away peacefully at Spartanburg Regional Hospital surrounded by family.
Born in Jeannette, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth McCabe Irwin. A graduate of Robert Morris University, she was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker in Jeannette, PA and later in Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert Allen Stough; brother Clarence Clark Irwin; and sister Janet Sue Irwin.
Surviving are her children, Robin Alan Stough (Elizabeth) of Irving, TX, Mrs. Ann Lynn Edwards of Modesto, CA, Mrs. Sue Beth Thorsen (Richard) of Wake Forest, NC, Dr. Amy Jo Stough (Gary Bartley) of Boiling Springs, SC, Mrs. Mimi JoAnn Holman (Russell) of Houston, TX, Robert Allen Stough II of Goleta, CA; and grandchildren, Nicholas Walter Brazelton (Amanda Joy), Amanda Sue Crook (Kolby), Russell Allen Holman, Robert Matthew Holman; and great-grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Brazelton, Braxton Robert Crook, Lincoln Hawk Brazelton, Kora Beth Crook, Adalaide Ramona Crook and Zachary Nicholas Brazelton; brothers, Christopher Lee (Adrienne) Irwin of North Versailles, PA and Calvin Kay Irwin of Upland, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 17, 2026 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Bush River Memorial Gardens, with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on March 17, 2026 at Bush River Funeral Home. A livestream of the service will begin at 2:00 pm and can be viewed below.
