Jacob Wayne Weatherman

TSGT Jacob Wayne Weatherman (ret.) Sumter—Jacob Wayne Weatherman, 81, of Sumter, passed away on July 30, 2018.Born in Jonas Ridge, NC to the late Webb Weatherman and Florence Phillips Weatherman.Jacob retired from the US Air Force, proudly serving 21 years. He did a tour in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked for26 years at Shaw Airforce Base as a supervisor of Vehicle Maintenance. Surviving are his daughter Cathie W. Sears (Don) of Columbia; sister, Louise Stamey (Ken) of Jonas Ridge, NC; one grandchild, Teeter Sears.He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, of 58 years, Hiroko Weatherman and a brother, Roger Weatherman. A duel inurnment for Jacoband Hiroko, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2018in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors.
