Jimmy Alfred Wilson

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jimmy Alfred Wilson, 77, of Columbia, at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Jimmy was born in Columbia, SC on January 10, 1944, to the late Melvin Wilson and Nancy Dennis Wilson.Jimmy worked as a service manager in the Automotive industry for many years. He loved softball and played until he was 56 and was considered the senior on the Team and also loved drag racing and NASCAR racing, Dale Earnhardt, Sr. #3 was his favorite driver of all time.Jimmy had a love for animals, especially his cats.He was very witty, always had jokes to tell, loved to laugh with friends, celebrations, and cook-outs.Jimmy had a sweet tooth for chocolate and ice cream. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryle Crider (Ronnie); grandchildren, Brittany and Hunter Jeffcoat; great-grandchildren, Dylan McSwain and Clayton Jeffcoat; special daughter, Terri Hanson; daughter, Susan Thomas (James); grandchildren, Rebecca and Kevin and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clark J. and Grady Wilson.
