COLUMBIA—Lora Anniece Pate Caldwell, 83, of Columbia died Wednesday, April 5, 2017.Services for Mrs. Caldwell will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, South Carolina, 29212.The Dr. Ronald D. Vaughan will officiate.The family will greet friends following the service.Burial will be private. Mrs. Caldwell was born in Buffalo, Texas on May 9, 1933.She was the daughter of the late James Larkin Pate and Grace Berry Pate.The love of her life was her late husband Harris Benjamin “Buddy” Caldwell, Jr. of 51 years.Anniece was pre-deceased by her sister and brothers, Sybil Bates, James, Eugene and William Pate. She retired from South Western Bell Telephone Company and was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. Anniece is survived by her sons, Thomas Benjamin Caldwell (Chris) of Aiken, Steven Harris Caldwell (Cathy) of Cayce and brother Murphy Lee Pate (Vicki) of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Patrick Giles Caldwell of Aiken, Kelly Elaine Caldwell of Aiken, Steven Gabriel Caldwell and Margaret Abigail Caldwell of Cayce.Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
