CHAPIN—A memorial service for Marjorie A. Howarth, 97, of Chapin will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 525 St. Andrews Road, Columbia 29210 with Reverend Gary Loadholdt, officiating. Marjorie will be inurned with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Marjorie passed away on Tuesday, September 3.Born in Scranton, PA to the late Walter E. Attenborough and Florence Valentine Rushmore Attenborough.She was a faithful member of Redeemer Luthern Church.Marjorie lived inAlaska, Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina.She attended Princeton Seminary and Marywood College in Scranton, PA.She worked as a volunteer receptionist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Howard Howarth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Luthern Homes of SC Foundation Fund, 300 Ministry Drive, Irmo, SC 29063 and Redeemer Lutheran Church, 525 St. Andrews Road, Columbia 29210.
