Mark Edward Bishop

IRMO—The funeral service for Mark Edward Bishop, 69, of Irmo, died July 9, 2019, at his home.He was born in Cresson, PA and the son of the late John R. Bishop and Lois (Eager) Bishop. On January 14, 2005, he married Rosimere Ramos in Joa Pessoa, Brazil. Mark was a 1968 graduate of Penn Cambria High School and the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Pharmacy.Mark worked as a pharmacist his entire life, he retired from Palmetto Richland Health Hospital in Columbia, SC.He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a proud lifetime member of the NRA.He was a loving husband, devoted father, and a friend to many, but most of all a lover of all things “cowboy”. He is survived by his wife; children, Sarah, Amy, Lisa, Seth, Renato, Pedro, Gabriel and Kevin; grandchildren, Mira, Mary, Mallory, Samantha, Erika, Ridgely, Raegan Max, and Rivers;sisters, Becky (Mike) Zabinsky, Gina (Frank) Zabinsky, and Melissa Simmons; brother, David (Liz); Friends will be received from 2:30-4:10 with funeral services at 4:30 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7449 Board River Road, Irmo, SC 29063, with Bishop Bev Kubik officiating. Interment will be Monday, July 15, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Loretto, PA for those who wish to attend.
