Mary Deans

The funeral service for Mary E. Deans, 82, of Pelion, will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Bush-River Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. Entombment will follow the service at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Mrs. Deans was born on October 9, 1943, in Blythewood, South Carolina, and passed away on May 23, 2026. She was the daughter of Elton Walker and Allie Wooten Walker.

Mrs. Deans proudly and deeply cared for God and her Family and her Friends.

Mrs. Deans absolutely loved her Family and her time with every one of them... she always enjoyed fishing and our Family gatherings serving up hearty meals! She most enjoyed sharing a good cup of coffee (No Sugar!) and a full conversation. None of us will ever forget those chicken wings, either! Words will never be able to capture the impact of her unconditional love, her guidance, and the insight that she has provided to each of us! She was always the biggest fan of each of her four boys!

She is survived by her children, Scott and his wife, Judy, Darren and his wife, Shawn, Shane and his wife, Dawn, and Parrish and his wife, Sandy and her grandchildren... Robbie, Danielle, Matthew, Branden, Taylor, Dalton, Forrest, Briana, Brittany, DJ, Sami, Alli, & Lexi and her great grandchildren, Harley, Chloe, Colleen, Colin, Jacob, Kinslee, Maverick, Soloman, Ada, Asher, Raya, Nolan, Grayson, and Hallie.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Deans was preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years Gordon S. Deans... her thirteen siblings, her Grandson, Maverick, and her Granddaughter, Kailyn.
