In Loving Memory of Nicola Renda

July 19,1970 - June 15, 2026

Nicola Renda unexpectedly passed away on June 15, 2026 after quietly and bravely fighting various health complications.

Nicola was born July 19, 1970 in Troy, NY to parents Vittorio Renda and Grace (Mele) Renda. He grew up in Troy and Latham NY, until he met his wife Shaunell where they moved to Clifton Park, NY and started their life and family together while Nicola owned and worked at a Pizzeria. They later moved to Rotterdam where they continued raising their four amazing children and Nicola opened up Three Olives. Eventually Nicola and his family found their way to Lexington, SC in September 2021. This is where Nicola enjoyed the weather, the sun, the beach, being able to read his book outside all year round and finding a loving community life.

Over the years Nicola worked in various restaurants, realizing cooking was his passion, his life, and he loved doing it whether in the restaurants, for his family or having a dinner party for friends. It was his life long dream to one day open a restaurant to leave to his children. He instilled his love and his passion for cooking in all of us. And we will continue cooking in his honor everyday.

Nicola also loved spending time with his family traveling, going to the drive-ins or theater, watching any kind of cooking show and going to the beach. He was also his family's biggest cheerleader in everything they did. He loved spending time with his friends playing poker, having fun and laughing. He loved being outside doing his yardwork or reading his book on the porch.

Nicola is survived by his beloved wife: Shaunell Renda, sons Vittorio and Giovanni Renda, and daughters Grace and Maxine Renda. His mother Grace (Mele) Renda, brother Rocco (Dana) Renda, sister-in-law, Deanna Ford,  nieces and nephews; Taylor Gould (Daniel), Alexandra Gould, Carter Gould, Ava Renda, Tori Renda, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Nicola was predeceased by his father Vittorio Renda.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to family that traveled to see us, everyone that has called, messaged and sent their condolences.

Nicola will forever be his wife's and children guardian angel and will walk beside them through every part of life. He will be loved and never forgotton by all who knew him.
