Nigel Bruce Holland Jr.

Nigel Bruce “Buddy” Holland, Jr. , 56, of Lexington, SC passed away on Febuary 9, 2026. Born on April 14, 1969, in Columbia SC, he was the son of Nigel Bruce Holland, Sr. and Judith Hopkins Holland. Buddy graduated from Irmo High school and the University of South Carolina, Bachelor of Arts, Class of 1991.

Buddy is preceded in death by his wife, Samantha Ann Holland. He is survived by his parents, his sister Melanie Holland West, her husband Nick West and their two sons, Grayson West and Hunter West. Buddy is also survived by his daughter Paxton Stewart and his step-daughter Amanda McGillivray Murdaugh and husband Jacob and their son Wyatt, and step-daughter Abigail Leigh McGillivray. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Burial will be next to his late wife, Samantha, and it will be a private graveside service. Any memorials can be made to a charity of the giver’s choice. The family requests that no flowers be given. There will be a Celebration of Life between 3 and 5 on Saturday, February 21 at Schooners Bar and Grill, 6226 Bush River Rd. near the Lake Murray Dam on the Richland County side. Feel free to wear casual Gamecock or Philadelphia Phillies attire.
