Pearlene "Penny" Ruth Taylor

Pearlene “Penny” Ruth Taylor, widow of Ray Charles Taylor, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on March 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Arlene Scott Crooker. Penny was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a friend to everyone she met and was a lover of all animals. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, as well as her annual trips to Las Vegas. Penny is survived by her sons: Derek, Brian, and Kevin Taylor; her daughters in law: Tonya and Stephanie Taylor; and her five grandsons: Noah, J.R., Mason, Cole, and Lincoln Taylor. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Butch Crooker. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC, 29212. Niche inurnment will follow services in the Mausoleum Chapel.
