Peggy Hardin Reading

COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Peggy Hardin Reading, 78, of Columbia, will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Wayne Cole and Reverend Jimmy Pitts will be officiating.Visitation will follow in the Sanctuary at the church.Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2016 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. Born September 15, 1937 in Etowah County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late John L. Hardin and Carrie M. Hardin. She was also predeceased by a sister, Doris H. Baer and brother, James F. Hardin as well as a daughter, Tracey R. Walling (Mark) of Louisville, KY. A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Theodore H. Reading; son, Theodore H. Reading II (Robbie); daughters, Jill R. Finnesand (Doug) and Amy R. Steiner (Sean). She was the grandmother of eleven grandchildren who loved “Ma” and nine great grandchildren. Peggy loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was an active member of the church and the Bethel ABF Sunday School Class.Memorials may be made to Riverland Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063.
