Rita Porth Hax

LEXINGTON: Rita Porth Hax, 76, of Lexington, passed away on October 27, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6925 St. Andrews Road,Columbia, SC 29212, Dr. Dale Welden will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. She was a devoted member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Surviving is her husband of 28 years, Lee Hax; daughter, Melanie; son, Scott; granddaughters, Cameron, Lauren, Haley and Ashlyn; grandson, Tyler; sisters, Elizabeth, Marjorie and Denise; brothers, Jamie and Albert. Rita was preceded in death by her brother, Tony. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rita’s honor toSt. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6925 St. Andrews Road,Columbia, SC 29212.
