Rita Pauline Beck Soose Best

LEXINGTON—Rita Pauline Beck Soose Best, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019.Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Amelia Beck.Rita is predeceased in death by her husbands, Harold “Pete” Soose and Russell “Russ” Best; brothers, Eugene “Booch” Beck, Jr., Father Aelred “Joe” Beck, Charles “Chuck” Beck, and grandson, Andy E. Lehotay. Survived by herbrother, Robert “Bob” Beck and sister, Mary Kinzler; daughters, Karen Lehotayand Elaine Yodanis (Dan Brosky); son, Harold “Hal” Soose, Jr. (Joan); step-daughter, Barbara Longobardi (Carl); step-son, Robert “Bob” Best (Johann); grandchildren, Amy Gaines (Chris), Andrea McKnight (Tuffy), Derek Soose (Heather) Kristan Slazinski (AJ), Jonathan Creel, Robbie Yodanis, Hunter Best and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, Columbia, SC and St. Alexis Catholic Church, Westford, PA, at 10:00 a.m., August 23, 2019, with burial at Allegheny County Memorial Park in PA In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
