David was born on June 9, 1963, in Jacskonville, Florida, where he spent his early years before moving to Alabama. As a teen David attended Marion Military Institute, graduating in May of 1981.
Throughout his life, David built a career defined by hard work, skill, and versatility. He worked offshore on oil rigs, as a welder, and was part of D&J Machinery & Rigging. During this time he also attended Midlands Technical College and graduated the Radiography program in May of 2000 becoming a Radiology Technician at Richland Memorial Hospital.
He held certifications in several trades. No matter the role, David took pride in his work and the knowledge he gained along the way.
Above all else, David loved his family. He is survived by his daughters, Leigh Anne, Victoria, and Emily, and his beloved grandchildren, Raegan, Hunter, Kaison, Luca, Ember, and Jasper. He cherished every moment spent with them and found his greatest joy in being “Papa.”
David had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. He loved riding his Harley, feeling the breeze on the open road, and cheering on Alabama football—always with a proud “Roll Tide.” He enjoyed poker nights, bringing both skill and humor to the table. In quieter moments, he could be found playing Xbox, and listening to music,
David will be remembered for his strength, his stories, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, laughter, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. A celebration of David’s life will be announced at a later time.
