Sarah Faella

Sarah Faella, 87, Columbia, passed away on August 11, 2018.Mrs. Faella was born to parents, Michael and Maria Cocciardi Piscopiello on February 22, 1931 in Providence, Rhode Island.Sarah and her late husband, Silivo Vincent Faella were married for 60 years. Together, they owned and operated Faella's Fuel Oil Company where she worked diligently as bookkeeper and office manager.After retiring to Florida, she loved to golf and was an active artist in Florida's Art Guild. Those preceding Mrs. Faella in death include her husband, Silivo; brothers, Dominick (Tom), John, Michael, Albert, and Fred. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Faella (Steve Szymanski) of Columbia, and Sally Joyce Faella (Ron Aversa) of Jacksonville, Florida; a brother, Ernie (Angela) Piscopiello of Cranston, Rhode Island; and grandchildren, Alyssa Faella-Aversa, Brian LaJoie, and Kevin LaJoie. AMass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210 at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018.
