Sharon Damalidis

It is with deep sadness and love that we announce Sharon Marie (Mimi) Damalidis (nee Chamberlain) fell asleep in the Lord on May 17, 2026, at the age of 84.
She lived a full and happy life, defined by her devotion to her family and her career as a primary school teacher. She was filled with childlike goodness and optimism and was the type of person who, if you complemented her coat, would take it off and give it to you make you happy.
Sharon Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Manoli Damaldis and sister Brenda Cwetna. She will be forever remembered and missed by her only daughter, Catherine Megremis for whom she created a life filled with love, learning and happiness. Her Memory will be a treasure to those who knew and loved her, especially siblings Lucy Cummings, Mary Ruth (Tom) O'Malley, John Chamberlain & Manny Ruiz, Nieces and nephews Arthur (Connie) Nicholas, Gregory (Marieta) Cummings & Theresa (Ron) Barley, great niece and nephew Alexandria Nicholas and Stephen Nicholas and son in law John Megremis, his mother Mary Megremis and sister Evangelia Megremis.

A Funeral Service will be conducted by FR Michael Platanis at 10:30 am on Friday May 22 2026 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral , Columbia ,SC. Interment will take place following the service at Bush River Memorial Gardens, Columbia, SC.
