Theresa Kay Minsky

Theresa Kay Minsky, (Kay), 77 of Columbia, SC entered into eternal life on July 26,2026 after an extended illness.

Kay was born July 14, 1949, in Jacksonville, Florida daughter of the late Alfred I. Roberts and Evelyn M. Roberts. She was a graduate of the Respiratory Therapy Program at Midlands Technical College and continued her education with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the Medical University of South Carolina. Kay was a practicing respiratory therapist for over 35 years.

Kay was a devoted mother and wife. She will be remembered for her warmth, friendliness, sense of humor and love of the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Melissa L. Lightsey, her siblings, Ginger E. Hudgins, Alfred I Roberts, II and David A. Roberts.

Kay is survived by her husband of 49 years, Stephen H. Minsky.

A visitation will be held at Bush River Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 11 am followed by a memorial service at 12 pm. Interment will be following the service at Bush River Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Baptist Church, 1651 Dutch Fork Rd., Irmo, SC 29063.
