Thomasina-Green-Lloyd, was born at Harlem Hospital in New York City on October 15, 1945 to parents, Alene and Thomas Curtis. One of six girls of this marriage, she was number six, and a twin.
As a child, she was a bright student and an avid reader. While most people read a book a month, she would often read two a week, simultaneously.
Thomasina attended Washington Irving High School, in New York City where she learned how to sew. As a result, she became a talented and creative seamstress. She was also gifted at crocheting.
Thomasina married and divorced early in her journey.
She had four beautiful children; Lynette (deceased), Thomas, Saeeda and Rasheed (deceased).
Loving, kind, gentle and generous, you only saw her ‘other side’ when you messed with her family, especially her grand and great grand children.
In 1993, while working for the Department of Social Services as a Eligibility Specialist, she met Vincent Lloyd, the man she would spend the rest of her life with
They were married on October 18, 1997 and shared a long lasting beautiful union.
Thomasina is survived by her husband, Vincent Lloyd,
Children - Saeeda and Thomas.
Grandchildren - Lamont, Tramaine (Marcel) Kendra, Nijah.
Great Grandchildren - Jaydon, Marcel, Nazir, Keira, Bryn
Sisters - Antoinette, Dorothy, Ollie
And a host of relatives and friends.
