William Don Kennedy

William Don Kennedy, 79, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. He was born on August 17, 1943, in Albemarle, North Carolina, to the late William Daniel Kennedy and the late Mary Margaret Thompson Kennedy. Don worked for Kerry Ingredients for 30 years before retiring as Regional Sales Manager. He loved planting and growing vegetables and spending time with his grandchildren. Don was a frequent visitor to Cherokee, NC, and Biloxi, MS. He was a fan of Elvis and Ford Thunderbirds. Don is survived by his daughters, Jenny Baxley-Davis and Leigh Kennedy Montague and his three grandchildren, Dylan, Kalee, and Maddie. He is also the proud great grandfather of Parker and Mason. Don will be sorely missed by his four-legged child, Lucy. Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Sherry Kennedy and his sister, Kay Blosser. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, in Bush River Memorial Gardens.
